Would a fabric house be ok for my chinchilla?

My chinchilla always eats her hide house, every house I've gotten her, about 6 so far. I give her wood and apple twigs to chew on but she loves to eat her house. Not one hide house has lasted more than a month. Would a fabric house be ok for my chin? I saw some on ebay and they looked very comfy.
