Did President Obama channel his inner Harry S. Truman yesterday?

I thought he was magnificent. He is already getting results, as the Senate has canceled its Indpendence Day Vacation to workout a deal on the Debt Ceiling. I hope that the lower chamber (House of Representatives) follow suit.
