I need help with a hair cut?

I have wavy hair. I haven't had it cut in a long time. it goes to my butt and i am always wearing it up. i want something new. I want to get it cut but I'm not sure what style would suit me. i also want to get bangs but I'm scared and don't know if i should get straight bangs or side swept ones. i have only ever had it layered and cut just below my shoulders. I don't have any pictures to so you so it might be hard to tell me an idea. but my bf says i have an oval shaped face and i am on the heavier side. please any one with any ideas help me out.
